The Avant Garde (2019) - For two cell phones

This piece is intended to be performed ideally for a small audience of one or a few, and in a closed, not so big location so it’s loud enough -sound source is the phones’ speakers which are very limited in amplitude.
Instructions:
Put your phone on airplane mode to avoid any calls to disrupt the performance.
Raise the volume on your phone.
Open whatever application you use to play the sound file ‘AvantReceiver.mp3’ -download below- and have the file ready to play.
Ask a member of your small audience if they’re willing to call you, if so ask them the 4 following things:
“I am going to give you the number to call me, but first please raise the volume on your phone”.
“Put your phone on speaker phone after dialing the number”.
“Do not hang up until the end of piece”.
“Please dial 954-800-0042”.
As soon as you hear the 1st tone from their phone, play sound file on your phone.
Wait until the end of the piece.
If necessary ask them to hang up after the piece is over.
